Reflection 1.3

My biggest challenge is definitely keeping up to date with all of the technologies out there (or at least try) I think it is so crucial for teachers to know what is going on in the classroom and be involved. So far using Blogger I have managed to tackle it and found it to be really fun and personalized. Speaking of ICTs, I have just got a handle of using distance study online, as previously I was an on campus student, I have found it hard to keep up with everything so far but this week I organized myself and bought a diary to make sure I am keeping up from this day forward!





Learning to use ICTs is a big challenge for me however I feel lucky that this is one of the classes we get to be a part of because its true in saying without ICTs we are not living up to our true potential in our teaching skills but also holding back on our future students. I aspire to learn and teach with many more ICTs because I believe it creates an excellent environment for students and relate with them on a much closer level than traditional teaching methods.

    You do not know how much I love that picture, it is gorgeous. Seriously, you should just go for it with the text editor, changing fonts, colours and so on. Don't hold back.

Unfortunately for me Prezi wouldn't allow me to upload so I have taken screen grabs of my experience using Prezi.  The first page of the presentation which shows a layout of the topic areas you will be talking about. This next page is one of the customisation pages. Then I began to add in videos and photos. I also had a go at using animation in particular the zoom tool. Where you can zoom in on a picture or text to show relevance or importance.  All in all Prezi is a great tool when using presentation technology as it is a fresh visual aid that is fun and interesting to watch. I believe this tool will be a big part of my technology pedagogy as it is builds students skills in using technology, communication skills and design skills through the feedback and comments of others and the creativity students can put in to cater for how they want it to look.

Reflection 1.2

Reflection 1.2  ICTs and Social Media is crucial in teenagers lives, as teenagers spend anywhere from one to nine hours being online in one day. It is crazy to me how much one can spend online, however teenagers can be creative, real, devoted and focused on games, social media, youtube, websites and school work.
