Reflection 3.2

Reflection 3.2 I am finding wiki a lot harder to use than blogger however am slowly learning the ropes. As this is my second blogging tool I have found that wiki can be used in a more multi-use way where pages can be uploaded and built upon through multiple members. Wiki is an excellent website speaking in terms of student collaborating on their work, for example after starting the wiki their is a selection box where you can state whether you are associated with a school and then link your wikispace with that school. Wikis can be a useful tool in the teaching world as it is an online space that can bring teachers and students together on the same space.  Wikispace:  http://taylorb48.wikispaces.com In regards to my pedagogy using wiki could be a great space to discuss, compare and share students knowledge, thoughts, opinions and studies where others can draw information and help others with their work. Presenting Learning

Unfortunately for me Prezi wouldn't allow me to upload so I have taken screen grabs of my experience using Prezi.  The first page of the presentation which shows a layout of the topic areas you will be talking about. This next page is one of the customisation pages. Then I began to add in videos and photos. I also had a go at using animation in particular the zoom tool. Where you can zoom in on a picture or text to show relevance or importance.  All in all Prezi is a great tool when using presentation technology as it is a fresh visual aid that is fun and interesting to watch. I believe this tool will be a big part of my technology pedagogy as it is builds students skills in using technology, communication skills and design skills through the feedback and comments of others and the creativity students can put in to cater for how they want it to look.

Reflection 1.3

Reflection 1.3 My biggest challenge is definitely keeping up to date with all of the technologies out there (or at least try) I think it is so crucial for teachers to know what is going on in the classroom and be involved. So far using Blogger I have managed to tackle it and found it to be really fun and personalized. Speaking of ICTs, I have just got a handle of using distance study online, as previously I was an on campus student, I have found it hard to keep up with everything so far but this week I organized myself and bought a diary to make sure I am keeping up from this day forward! Learning to use ICTs is a big challenge for me however I feel lucky that this is one of the classes we get to be a part of because its true in saying without ICTs we are not living up to our true potential in our teaching skills but also holding back on our future students.
